Wild imaginings
Noelle Bennett Photography - A little bit about me
Originally from the north west of England, my husband and I emigrated to Dunedin, which is in the south-east of South Island New Zealand, in 2002. That was our home until I retired in 2018 when we moved to the Marlborough Sounds in the far north of South Island New Zealand to live on the yacht my husband had built for us. More recently, we have moved back on land and now live in our tiny home in the foothills of the Southern Alps.
I would describe myself as a nature lover who makes photographs. That is what I love to do. And it is the act of making photographs that has helped me to open my eyes and truly see. My camera is both my paint brush and my canvas, granting me the luxury of self-expression and hopefully allowing those who view my images to experience the world from a different perspective..
I belong to the Photographic Society of New Zealand and was awarded their Licentiateship Honours Distinction in 2018 and then their Associateship Honours Distinction in 2021. I have had my work featured several times in NZ Photographer Magazine as well as having articles published by them. I have also been a featured photographer in the ICM (Intentional Camera Movement) Photography Magazine. This is a worldwide e-magazine dedicated entirely to the ICM genre of photography. I have explained a little bit more about ICM on my Impressionist and Abstract Gallery page. If you would like to read it, please click here
If you haven’t already done so, please could I invite you to take a few moments just to browse through my gallery. If you see images you think you might like to buy, please feel free to get in touch with me. It would be lovely to hear from you.
