Impressionist and abstract

I know that for many people the words Impressionist and Abstract conjure up specific thoughts, and attempting to define what they are has sparked many lively discussions. For me, though, these genres allow me to do so much more than simply give a depiction of the scene that’s in front of me. When I created many of these images I used a technique called Intentional Camera Movement (ICM) which, rather unsurprisingly, involves moving the camera whilst you take the image. Movements can be fast, slow or anything in between and can be in any direction - in fact, some people do really dramatic movements to produce the look they want. The huge bonus of this technique though is it helps images really come to life.

I hope you enjoy these specially selected fine art images I’ve put together here. If you’d like to see larger versions of them, please just click on any of the images. When you do that, you’ll also find more information about them, including available sizes and pricing should you wish to buy any of them
